Maria married Johann Meinrad Niederöst, son of Joseph Franziskus Niederöst and M. Regina Katharina Hämmerli, on 18 Nov 1793 in Einsiedeln, Schwyz, Switzerland. (Johann Meinrad Niederöst was born on 15 Jan 1764 in Weesen, St. Gallen, Switzerland and died on 11 May 1811 in Tuggen, Schwyz, Switzerland.)

Das Paar wurde durch Pfarrer Marian Herzog getraut.
In jenen Tagen war es üblich, dass die Hochzeit am Wohnort des Bräutigams stattfand. Mit Ausnahmen, welche unter anderem sind: Wenn das Paar arm war oder wenn die Braut zum Zeitpunkt der Vermählung schwanger war. In solchen Fällen reiste das Brautpaar für die Trauung beispielsweise nach Einsiedeln (SZ). Die Zeremonie fand dann in der Regel ohne weitere Gäste statt: Nur das Brautpaar, der Pfarrer und die Trauzeugen - die jeweils von der Kirche bestellt worden sind - waren anwesend.
Im vorliegenden Fall war Maria Anna Elisabeth bereits im 6ten Monat schwanger. Deshalb reisten sie nach Einsiedeln um sich dort trauen zu lassen.
