UKIAH MAN HIT BY CAR.

An 81-year-old Ukiah man was injured Friday night when he was hit by a car while crossing Bush Street.

Joseph Niderost was transferred to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he was listed in "poor" condition in the intensive care unit today.

Ukiah Police said Douglas Wilsey, 23, Ukiah, was driving south on Bush street at Gibson Road when he apparently failed to see the pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing.

This occured around 4pm. At the time the sky was dark, the streets were wet, and about 3 inches of snow was piled up along the sides of the road.
