Family Tree Maker Software is excellent software to manage all of your genealogy data.  I started management of the Niderost genealogy with Family Tree Maker and have enjoyed the ease of use.	Legacy is another great full-featured professional genealogy program that helps you track, organize, print, and share your family history. Includes sourcing, reports, merging, To Do list, slide shows, multimedia, Web pages, spell checking, import and export.  I now use Legacy 4 to manage my genealogy info and create the genealogy web pages on this site.	The Master Genealogist Silver Edition not only helps you get started, it also manages your family history projects. This edition provides novices with tools recommended and used by family history researchers.

Civil War Firsts This book was co-written by Eric Niderost.  He also published the Battle of Marignano (Military History - October 1991), which is reprinted here.  He is a regular contributor to several publications, including Military History and Wild West magazines.
